Options Counseling

The goal of Options Counseling is to identify people in need of short-term advice and guidance on available services to remain in the community.  Options Counseling is available to anyone over the age of 60 as well as individuals age 18-59 who are disabled.

The Options Counselor position is a formal partnership between the Aging Services Access Point (ASAP)Network and the Independent Living Centers (ILC), uniting the goals of the Aging Network with the goals of the Independent Living Centers Network.

Options Counseling can take place in hospitals, nursing facilities, an individual’s home, over the telephone-wherever is most convenient for you.
